The beloved actor John Candy was in a slew of comedy favorites including Splash, Stripes, Cool Runnings, Summer Rental, The Great Outdoors, Spaceballs, Home Alone, and Uncle Buck. He first rose to fame as a member of the Toronto branch of the Second City improv group and its television series. Candy passed away in 1994.
