The JFK Assassination Changed The Nation
This is a photograph taken on the day of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. President Kennedy and his wife smile and wave at the crowds that are surrounding their motorcade in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. Not too much later, while passing through the Dealey Plaza, he was fatally shot by former U.S. Marine Lee Harvey Oswald. Kennedy’s death was the fourth and most recent United States presidential assassination. It’s common for people who were alive at the time to remember exactly where they were when they heard that Kennedy had been assassinated.
